The ultimate goal for organisations is to become what HR development practitioners term “A Learning Organisation” which implies that the firm has recognised the need to pay special attention to the learning potential of its employees, contributing to its sustainable competitive advantage.
The establishment of corporate training institutes has increasingly become the way to achieve this goal.
In partnership with a renowned research institute, ARMs flagship new in-take programme was also organised to expose new entry level/junior level staff to the intricacies of working in the financial industry.
These two initiatives marked the beginning of strategic learning in ARM.

Overseeing the activities of the ARM Academy is the Advisory Board and next to the Advisory Board is the Managing Director of ARM Academy who is also referred to as the Chief Learning Officer (CLO).
The ARM Academy interfaces with Human Capital Management as a key stakeholder.
On the team with the Managing Director/Chief Learning Officer of ARM Academy are the Faculty and Knowledge Manager, Learning Management System (LMS) / eLearning Officer, the Research Officer, the Training Operations Officer, and the External Faculty.
Our operations cover our Pensions, Construction and Real Estate, Infrastructure, Agribusiness, Trustees, Securities, Financial Advisory and the ARM group at large.
Uche Azubuike is a results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and decades of experience leading organizations to achieve their strategic objectives.
She currently sits on the Board of Riparian Farms Limited (RFL) to execute ARM’s Agribusiness initiatives and Labs by ARM, an accelerator created to tap into innovation and creativity in the Fintech space. She also serves as the Chairman, Advisory Committee of Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate; an exclusive 18-hole golf course with a luxury resort-like estate located within the Lekki Peninsula area, Lagos, Nigeria. She has a proven track record of driving growth, leading high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional results in Human capital management, Fintech/Startup administration, Agribusiness, and procurement and administration.
In her role as the Managing Director, ARM Academy. She implements the Academy’s strategy, establishing autonomy for the Academy as a self-funding entity, identifying and enabling local and international strategic partnerships, providing oversight of academic activities to maintain a rigorous academic environment and improve the Academy’s reputation and standing in Nigeria and across the African continent. She leads the development and delivery of excellence in teaching, research, scholarship, and knowledge transfer to provide an exciting learning environment and enhance the quality of student experience.
As former Head of the Human Capital Management and Administration Unit of ARM, Uche contributed immensely to the sustained growth and development of Human Resource Management in the organization. She translated the strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. She developed, organized, implemented, directed, and evaluated the organization’s human resource function and performance. Uche also oversaw the expansion of the Company’s staff strength from a total of 12 to over 750 staff members nationwide. She’s passionate about entrepreneurship, learning, business strategy, leadership, project management, change management, social impact, and mentoring of young people.
Before joining ARM, Uche worked with VT Leasing from 1990 to 1996 where she served in various capacities. Uche has a BA English Language from the University of Maiduguri and Master’s in Industrial Labour Relations (MILR) from the University of Lagos.
Leye is a seasoned Human Resource Practitioner, Consultant, Coach, Facilitator, and Public Speaker with over twenty-two (22) years of extensive experience in Finance and Human Resources Management. His versatile expertise spans both practitioner and consulting roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and talent development strategies.
Currently serving as an Assistant Vice President and the Faculty & Knowledge Manager at ARM Academy within the ARM Holdings Company, Leye plays a pivotal role in shaping learning initiatives and knowledge dissemination. Before his current position, he held key roles such as Learning Manager at UBA Academy of UBA PLC and Dean at FirstAcademy Schools. Within First Bank of Nigeria Ltd., he served in various capacities including Knowledge Management Executive, Team Lead at the First Shared Services Project Management Office, Curriculum Planning & Learning Adviser, and Regional Learning Centre Coordinator (West) within the Human Capital Management & Development department.
Before joining First Bank, Leye distinguished himself as a Senior Consultant and the Head of Learning & Development at Workforce Management Centre. Here, he spearheaded the development and implementation of numerous training programmes, recruitment services, and business development activities, showcasing his proficiency in driving organizational growth and talent optimization.
He holds a B.Sc in Accounting from the University of Ado-Ekiti and an MBA with a specialization in Management from the University of Lagos. Leye is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and holds certifications as a Development Dimensions International Certified Facilitator and a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner. Additionally, he has participated in and delivered numerous training programmes, seminars, and workshops, both locally and internationally.
Chioma Ekwenem is a multifaceted professional with a passion for learning and development, project management, and culinary arts. With a degree in Economics from Covenant University, Chioma has combined her academic background with her love for cooking to carve out a unique career path.
Currently serving as a Learning and Development Specialist and Project Manager at ARM Academy, Chioma brings a wealth of expertise in talent development and program coordination. Over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership as the head of various ARM initiatives, including the ARM Young Talent Programme (AYTP), ARM Ambassadors Programme (AAP) and the Deji Alli ARM Young Talent Award (DAAYTA)
Beyond her corporate role, Chioma is also a talented private chef, channeling her culinary creativity into exquisite dishes. Her dedication to continuous learning extends to her personal interests, which include cooking, reading, and watching movies.

Olatunde Samuel is a seasoned Human Resources professional with 11 years of versatile experience across consulting, telecommunications, media, hospitality and financial services. He has successfully navigated the complexities of Learning and Development, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development, delivering measurable results at every stage of his career.
In his current role as an E-learning Specialist and Training Coordinator at ARM HoldCo, Olatunde collaborates to implement talent development initiatives for over 690 employees, administering advanced Learning Management Systems, driving user engagement, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process. His responsibilities also include conducting organizational training needs assessments, managing e-learning content, and developing customized training solutions that align with business goals.
Previously, at Deloitte, he served as a Learning and Development Business Partner, where he coordinated high-impact training programs, managed onboarding strategies, and streamlined compliance with regulatory training requirements. At KPMG, he led the implementation of firmwide learning plans, collaborated with professional bodies for staff certifications, and pioneered employee development initiatives that boosted workforce productivity.
Olatunde’s professional journey also includes impactful roles at ipNX Nigeria Ltd., AIM Group, owners of Cool FM, Wazobia FM & Nigeria Info FM, American Tower Corporation, where he demonstrated expertise in performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, recruitment, and stakeholder engagement. His ability to develop policies, manage HR projects, and foster organizational alignment has consistently contributed to business success.
Iyinoluwa Ajayi is a Human Capital Development Professional at ARM HoldCo. His work has been featured in global organizations like the One Campaign, and he has participated in global forums such as the Commonwealth Youths & Students Summit for Africa. He has an academic background in economics.
Iyinoluwa’s professional journey includes impactful roles at The Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research and KPMG. He focuses on running youth programs to help professionals and young people gain the skills they need to succeed in their careers, particularly in the financial services industry. Passionate about helping young people thrive, Iyinoluwa is dedicated to development policy and human capital development, aiming to make a positive impact in the youth sector.
